Temple Square

We went down to Temple Square last week with some of the Jensen fam to have dinner and see the lights. It was freezing but so pretty and so fun! Thanks Aunt Lana for getting us all together!

Christmas Stuff

We are having so much fun getting ready for Christmas! Molly is at such a fun age right now. She loves seeing and waving to Santa - or people who look like him - wherever we go. She can't wait to open her presents and is constantly shaking them trying to figure out what they could be, she loves looking at all the decorations and singing Christmas songs. Every time she hears a bell she looks around for reindeer. Laney is such a joy and it's so fun to have her around this year, I just have to be careful so she doesn't accidentally tip over our tree!

We've been pretty good at getting out to do Christmas-y things, but if anyone has some really fun suggestions let me know!

It was nearly impossible to get these two wiggly little girls to smile at the same time for a Christmas card picture but I think it turned out pretty cute!

My Christmas decoration supply is sadly lacking because we've hardly had any room until this year. Oh well, I'm sure we'll collect plenty of stuff in the years to come! I did make some new stockings and a tree skirt though (these are what Trev thinks are too "springy"). At least it manages to make our sad, falling apart tree a little happier looking!

Light Parade

Last week We went up to the Kaysville Light Parade with Trevor's family. Molly had a blast watching Santa come to town and collecting all the candy she could hold. She just yelled "Santa" and "Christmas" the entire time! Needless to say, she's a little excited for Christmas this year!

The girls got fancy new Christmas dresses this year. Trevor thinks they are too spring-y (along with all our other Christmas decorations I guess) but they sure are cute!

Thanksgiving

We had such a fun Thanksgiving weekend. Trevor's brother Cooper was playing in a football tournament in Las Vegas so we went down to watch with some of his family. His team did great and won all their games! We had a delicious Thanksgiving dinner at Panda Express then went to St. George to spend the rest of the weekend there with my family. We did what we always do there: swam, went on walks, golfed, fed the ducks, etc... We love going to St. George.

We have so much to be thankful for. We have amazing family and friends, two happy little girls, a nice home, good jobs - being a stay home mom definitely counts - etc... We sure are lucky!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Snow!

We got a couple inches of snow at our house today. What better way to enjoy it than to build a snowman?! This was Laney's first real introduction to snow and I think she liked it! The poor girl was so bundled up that she could only roll around, but she still managed to eat her fair share of snow!

Molly is a pro snowman builder. She was in heaven. I don't think she even cared that it was freezing! I anticipate a lot of snowman building this winter!

Halloween Fun!

We have had such a fun few days celebrating all things halloween! My girls have pretty much lived in their costumes the past few days.

Our Music Makers class did a little Halloween Carnival. Molly had a blast playing halloween games and eating treats with all her friends. We had about 40 kids there!

We actually carved pumpkins this year! Molly was a little grossed out by the slimy insides, but Laney thought they were tasty!

We went to the aquarium with our friends Emily, Addie, and Logan. The kids got to dress up and they had a little haunted section. The girls mostly just wanted to run around and show off their pretty costumes.

My Grandma Verda had a tradition of making spudnuts on halloween, so Molly and I made an attempt. They turned out delicious. I quartered my grandma's recipe and it still made about 40 spudnuts... Verda always was the party planner!

Last but not least, trick-or-treating. Molly was in heaven. She got way too much candy and wanted to eat it all right then. There were so many kids out in our neighborhood last night, I counted 277 trick-or-treaters to our house. Crazy!!

Halloween is so much fun with little kids!
