Laney's Blessing

This little miss had her special blessing day yesterday!

It was such a beautiful day! Trevor did a great job blessing her and she was so calm just watching him the entire time. She has such a sweet and pleasant personality that we just love. She is a little beauty and we feel so lucky to have her in our family. She wore the same blessing dress that Molly and I both wore. It was a little harder to squeeze Laney into it but I managed to get all the buttons done up! She was so happy all day yesterday and just smiled at everyone! I think she knew that something special was happening! 

We feel grateful to have such supportive family and friends, thanks to everyone who came!

Front Yard

When we bought our house we knew that the yard was going to be a huge project for us. Because the house sat empty for so long the front yard was in terrible shape and the back was even worse! This weekend we took on the front yard and it makes a HUGE difference! 

It was a lot of work and we appreciate everyone who helped us out! We tilled and raked everything up, fixed sprinklers, laid sod, made the flowerbed bigger, added pavers, took out a dead tree, power washed the house, etc... We're so happy with how it looks now, we've had all our neighbors commenting on the difference and how glad they are that we moved in and are taking care of the house. We're no longer the annoying neighbors with the ugly yard!

Newborn Smiles

I just love goofy little newborn smiles, don't you?!

Also, I think this little bug has the most perfectly round head and chubbiest cheeks i've ever seen!

Easter

We had a great Easter weekend at our house! 

On Saturday we just happened to go to the grocery store at the exact moment they were starting an easter egg hunt! We hurried and grabbed a bag for Molly and she went to town. At first she didn't understand that she could take more than one candy, but she caught on pretty quick!

Then, on Sunday morning, the Easter Bunny paid us a visit! Molly has been in heaven with her new toys and especially all the candy she got! That lucky duck!

We went to church, with the girls in their new Easter dresses of course! I always love church on Easter; the lessons and songs are some of my favorites all year and I love to see all the kids in their fancy new clothes!

After church we headed to my parents house for a delicious dinner. Molly got to go on not one but two more Easter egg hunts, Laney got passed all around and snuggled by everyone and Trevor got to watch the Masters. Overall, a great day!
