More Christmas!

On Christmas eve, we took the girls to Jump Around Utah. It was so much fun. The girls just loved it and didn't want to leave.

We kept celebrating Christmas for a few more days. Trevor took about a week and a half off work. It was so much fun to have him around. The girls are still asking where Daddy is and don't get that he had to go to work again!

The day after Christmas we got to see a bunch of our high school friends. We had a party in the morning at my parents house with some of my friends and another party that night at our house with Trevor's friends. It was so fun to see everyone!

The next day, my parents babysat the girls while we went to the Jazz game with Josh and Kels. It was a great game and the Jazz beat the Lakers!! Yeah!

Molly and Laney love my parents new house. They especially love playing on the slide. It is hilarious to watch them go down!

Christmas 2013

The girls were at the best age for Christmas this year. Molly was seriously looking forward to it for months. We had so much fun spending time with our families and each other. There is so much I want to remember from Christmas day.

Molly woke up so excited on Christmas day because Santa had left some presents in her room under her own little tree. She insists that Mrs. Clause actually brought them.

Laney was so excited too, but I think that is mostly because she just copies everything Molly does. Once she saw the presents she couldn't wait to open all of them!

Molly was a little disappointed that Santa didn't eat all of the cookies we left out but only some of them.

I think both girls would have been totally happy with just their stockings and the things Santa left in there. We spent a lot of time going through the little treats.

Laney was most excited about the candy, of course. I think she ate most of it in the first few minutes. Oh well, it's Christmas!!

Each time Laney would start opening a present, before she could even see what it was, she could say "oh WOW!!"

Molly was really concerned with the logistics of Santa and his elves this year...

"How will he get in, Mom?"
"How did he know where my room was?"
"WOW! How did the elves make this?"
"I told you Santa could bring me this!"
"I'm pretty sure Mrs. Clause brought me this, not Santa."

We didn't get any credit for presents this year. Molly is convinced that even the presents that said "from mom and dad" really came from Santa.

She got a little toy puppy for Christmas that is named Santa and Mrs. Clause... Long name!

After opening presents at our house, we headed up to the Thatcher's for breakfast and more presents! Again, the girls were in heaven! We stayed at the Thatchers for a bit, then headed home to get ready to go see my family. We opened even more presents and spent the rest of the day playing and having fun.

Our family got so spoiled this year.

I just love Christmastime. Everything about it is so fun!

Christmas Dresses

We tried really hard to get a picture of the girls in their pretty dresses together, but they were just too wild. They sure looked pretty though! I love them!

Preschool Christmas Stuff

Molly had some fun Christmas parties in her Joy School class and at Preschool.

The Joy school party was at our house. We did some fun Christmas crafts and played some fun games. The girls also acted out the nativity.
They did a little gift exchange that was so much fun, the girls could hardly wait to open their presents!!

Laney and I got to help out at Molly's preschool Christmas party too. It is so much fun seeing her at school, I love it. Laney just thinks that she's big and tries to keep up too. I was in charge of a craft for the kids to do. It was fun, but again, they were mostly interested in the presents they got! Molly did another gift exchange at preschool.

Molly was so excited for her preschool Christmas program and wouldn't tell me anything about it. She kept telling me it was a surprise!
She looked so pretty and did such a good job! She knew all the words to every song and sang really loud! When it was time to say her line ("My name is Molly and I like Santa") she got a little nervous and just stood at the microphone for a minute without ever saying anything! Oh well!

Layton Park Lights

We went on a hayride through Layton Park last night with the Thatchers and their neighbors. The girls love doing this and it is so much fun! After seeing the lights we had dinner and saw Santa!!

Snow!

Yesterday we had our first big snowstorm of the year. The girls could hardly wait to go out and play! Laney definitely likes the snow more this year than she did last year! All Molly wants to do is build a snowman!

Temple Square Lights

The Jensen family had their annual temple square lights night last night. Trev was out of town, but the girls and I still made it down. We met at City Creek for dinner then walked around temple square. The lights were so so pretty. My girls especially loved the candy windows. I love Christmastime downtown!!

Festival of Trees

The Jensen family did a tree this year for the Festival of Trees. We did it in honor of my grandparents, Verda and Leon. It has a "You Are My Sunshine" theme.
I made the tree skirt, the stockings, and the sign. It was so fun to work on it before and to go decorate it with everyone today. It turned out so so cute!! It is just fun and bright and definitely stands out. I think my grandma and grandpa would be proud!

Thanksgiving

For Thanksgiving this year we had dinner at my parents new house. We had a pretty small group but it was fun and tasty! Laney was in heaven. We swung by to see Trevor's family after dinner for a bit before we headed down to St. George for the weekend.

We always love going to St. George. We did a little black friday shopping, saw a few movies, golfed, went shooting and swimming, ate delicious leftovers and just hung out. It was a great weekend!
