One!!

This little bug-a-lug turned ONE on saturday!

Is it just me or was that the fastest year ever?!

We love Laney SO much! She is the sweetest, happiest, most patient little drama queen and fits so well into our family. Lately she and Molly have become really good friends. She has become really interested in playing and tries to copy everything Molly does.

She is walking all over the place now.
She has 5 teeth with three more on their way!
Says "dada" and I think she really knows what it means!
She knows the actions to "Itsy, Bitsy Spider" and "Wheels on the Bus."
She knows what a fish says.
Absolutely LOVES to eat (her plentiful rolls are evidence of this)
Claps, waves "hi", gives kisses, and squeals when she's happy (which is always!)
Tries to sing along in the car and at church.
Is WILD!
She is very rarely called by her real name. Instead she is baby, chug, chuggy, naney, buggy, deedle do, miss bug, etc...
She loves when Dad gets home from work. She'll giggle and go right over to him the second he walks in the door.
She's just a happy, fun girl with the best smile! Strangers will stop us all the time and comment on her smile and tell us that she should be in commercials.

We had our families over for dinner on sunday to celebrate. Molly thought it was her birthday too. That's probably because everyone was so nice and brought presents for both girls! Those are some seriously lucky girls with a lot of people who love them!

Happy birthday, Laney Bug!

Quilts!

I finally decided to try making a BIG quilt! All of the quilts i've done before have been baby/crib size (about 3x5 feet or so) and my most recent one is about 4x that! It was a lot of work but I LOVE how it turned out. Definitely a fun challenge! My girls have loved having a fun, new quilt to snuggle in!

Here are a few other recent quilts I made that I don't think I ever blogged about!

Walking

This little munch started walking a few weeks ago! Holy cow!! I can't believe she's big enough for that. She loves walking and thinks she is pretty cool. Here comes the stage of endless bumps and bruises!

Valentine's Day

This Valentine's Day was a fun one. The girls and I made cookies to take to Trevor's office, then he took us out to lunch. You can tell these girls are my daughters by their love for cookie dough. The girls each got a heart balloon that Molly still hasn't let out of her sight - I love her shirt tucked into her panties! Then we spoiled each other with candy and unsigned cards... I guess it's the thought that counts, right?! I sure love my three Valentines!

Potty!

Molly is a big girl now!
Molly has been ready to potty train for a while but I've been putting if off because it scared me! Really, it's a lot easier and more convenient to have her in diapers. I finally ran out of excuses to not potty train so we got serious this past week. Molly has really surprised me and done so good! She caught on fast and after the first day has told me every time she needs to go, I don't even have to bug her about it.
She gets to put stickers on a chart and we sing a little song every time she goes. "You did it! You did it! You did it, did it, did it!!" I'm really creative...
She is still a little nervous about going poop and tries to hold it as long as she can. When she gets on the toilet to try she tells me "Mom, I don't think this is going to work!"

Bear Lake

We went up to Bear Lake a few weekends ago with the Thatchers. It felt so good to get above the inversion for a bit. We went sledding, which Molly hated, and snowmobiling, which she loved (and I hated!) It was a quick trip for us but a nice little break before Trev got too busy at work!
